Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve is situated in the the Karoo region of South Africa near the oldest town in the province, Philippolis. It sits on 6100ha of prime Karoo landscape with various separate territories for the wild tigers and cheetahs to thrive in and survive.

The solar powered lodge on the canyon is off grid and part of a unique sustainable tourism project. The vehicles, guides and the stunning wildlife make for a special experience. With the area being part of a light free dark sky zone, night photography is a great possibility. Include  the personal touch all go together to make Tiger Canyon distinctly different… definitely not average!

With three home delicious meals per day you will not go hungry. Also enjoy your favourite tipple or soft drink at no extra cost. Explore Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve in one of the safari Land Cruisers or a specially-designed photography vehicle twice a day. All the vehicles are enclosed to protect from the elements, like the sun, the rain – and of course, the tigers.

The reserve is now owned and run by Rodney Drew, his wife Lorna along with their daughter Kirsty. Their vision is to grow and share this amazing private game reserve to the pride of Africa

What to bring with you during your stay at Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve.

  • Binoculars and camera. NO SHARING due to COVID regulations
  • Layered clothing – it can be very cool in the early morning and  hot later in the day.
  • In winter months , gloves and a very warm jacket as temperatures can drop as low as 0 dgr celsius
  • A buff, sunglasses, hat, beanie and sunscreen is highly recommended.

Weekday Silver Package – Monday to Thursday nights

Weekend Gold Package – Friday to Sunday nights

  • 3 served meals per day
