Photo Safari in Kruger National Park – Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 20000 km2 (7,550 sq mi) in north-eastern South Africa, and extends 362 km (220 mi) from north to south and 67 km (40 mi) from east to west. It became South Africa’s first national park in 1926 and is roughly the size of Belgium.
The Kruger National Park has an incredible biodiversity of life. These include the following species: 53 fish species, 505 birds, 35 amphibians, 118 reptiles, 1998 taxa plants and 148 mammal species. Here the sightings often include the Big 5 and with a little planning and patience, many photo opportunities can be had.
Your guide will share his knowledge, experience and passion from years of practical experience. These safaris are a period of discussion or practical work on you, the guests photography. They will provide you with relevant photographic advice, specialist tutoring, animal and bird information as you travel. The beauty of this type of trip is because you are in private vehicle, you can decide how long you spend at the major sightings. Our vehicle options include a private SUV with bean bags, fridge and charging stations. We also have the option of a dedicated Open Safari Vehicle with full photographic gimbal mounts and space for only 5 guests with the Photographic Expert and the Safari Guide Driver.
You can choose between bird photography (some of the areas in Kruger have basic bird hides) , or wildlife photography, focusing on game such as such as Elephant, Zebra, Kudu, Giraffes, and the ‘Big Cats’. General photography, which focuses on Kruger’s dramatic scenery and iconic landscape, is also an option. Camera equipment can be supplied should you wish to learn a new skill without investing in expensive equipment.

Lengths of stay options are 4, 6, 9, or 14 nights, staying in SANPARKS standard accommodation in the main camps, or suitable accommodation outside the park borders and main gates.
