The Destination: Chobe and Kalizo Bird Photography

Northern Botswana is home to the mighty Chobe River and the Chobe National Park. It has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. By size, it is the third largest park in the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Kgalagadi, and is the most biologically diverse.

Along with wildlife, the river ecosystem supports a large number of bird species and the river is also the lifeblood of many animals in the dry season. The park is widely known for its spectacular elephant population: It contains an estimated 50,000 elephants, perhaps the highest elephant concentration in Africa.

We will base ourselves here for 4 night in total. In a luxury lodge where we will do Chobe river and land based activities. From here we will move on to Kalizo in the Zambezi region.

The Zambezi Region is formally known and the Capri Strip in in Namibia and borders Botswana. Here we will enjoy stunning views of the Zamabezi river from our lodge for three nights and visit one of the last Carmine Bee-Eater Colonies in the region.
